It Was What It Was

Small balls today. One of those sessions where my hair stayed dry. I'm never sure if that's a good or bad thing.

Competitive - yet civil - in the water. That's fine by me. When I was able to jockey my way into position, I liked watching the rocks beneath my board as I rode the 2' dribblers. Not really working or practicing anything, just gliding and going through the motions.

Hey pappy caught a nice right slider at Venice this morning. It was what it was though. Small and low and chopped up. New paddle boards now. Saw a guy with a thruster, about 9 feet. He told me that there is a new wave to go shorter on those things. He was out with his young son who was about 6 and was tearing it up on his 5.9 board. So paddle boards are going short. Hmmmmmmm!
